Digital Studio:
Simon Smith, Brian Sheridan and Andrew Wilson make up the Digital Studio. Every year the studio processes some 35,000 images for the printed catalogue and Vectis website.
Simon and Andrew are in charge of the complex system of high powered Macs, where they download the individual photographs ready to be processed and used in the layout and design of the catalogue.
Simon and Andrew’s other talents lie in producing all the Vectis adverts which are regularly seen in the Diecast, Train and Doll related magazines.
Brian Sheridan, an ex-army photographer, takes thousands of pictures which you may think is a uncomplicated job – quite the contrary. It is infact an active job as the toys can be spread throughout the different cataloguing departments and photographing a single diecast item compared to arranging an army of toy soldiers requires a lot of patience.
